CRC Facility
The Cosumnes River College (CRC) pool is located near the Northwest corner of the CRC campus, 8401 Center Parkway, Sacramento, CA 95823. It is a heated, 8 lane, 25-meter by 25-yard pool with starting blocks for training in all aspects of competitive swimming. Secure locker room facilities with showers are available for use by swimmers.
Swimmers may be dropped off and/or picked up via the circle on the west side of the facility. Parking is available in Lot A, west of the pool. Seasonal parking permits are available for a nominal charge. Notices will be sent to families when they become available for purchase prior to each new semester. Parents are welcome to wait in the pool bleacher area during practice.
Swimmers should enter and exit the pool through the gated entrance on the west side. The outside doors on the south side of the locker rooms are for EMERGENCY EXIT ONLY. They are locked from the outside, and exiting through these doors compromises security as it defeats the one-way locking mechanism. Please notify your swimmers to exit the locker rooms into the pool area and from there to use the west gate.
Lockers
As stated above, secure lockers are available for use at both facilities. However, be aware that neither facility allows for overnight locker use. All locks must be removed and lockers cleared at the end of each practice. Any locks left on the lockers will be cut off and the locker contents moved to lost and found or discarded.
Security
When dropping off swimmers, please do not leave them unattended at the facilities. Be sure that a responsible adult is present before leaving. At CRC, that may include a coach or Board member. At Wackford, there should be facility staff present at all times.
Also, please be respectful of the coaches' schedules by picking swimmers up promptly at the end of their practice time. Since not all swimmers are released at the same time, it is the families' responsibility to ensure that swimmers remain securely inside the pool area until a responsible adult arrives to pick them up. |
